I've also got a wide neck walnut model. It' not nearly as affected by humidity changes as the mahogany model and I prefer the sound of the walnut. I've currently got the walnut mandolin strung with the D'Addario flatwounds, it took me a while to get used to them, but they've turned out to be quite nice... Enjoy. >>>===> Dave
I have noticed that my mahogany M-01 is more affected by Humidity than my rosewood M-04. i think I have posted about it here in a different thread. Cheers to all, good picking.
