I'm trying to make a blog with some compositions. (Scores + tab). Welcome! http://kjaersdalen.blogspot.com
Would you be interested in jazz tunes for 5- or 10-string? A couple of mine make for nice solo versions, although I'll nave to work on them a bit to add in the harmony/bass notes in the print file.
Hello, Tom! Originally I had in mind just my own things, not because I'm an egoist, but because of the greater responsibility taking proper care of other people's tunes. But if you take the chance, I would be glad to post some solo-pieces by you or other members here too! The thing is that every time I post tunes here or other places, some players always want the scores. Nothing is better than that, of course! So I found out that a blog could be a good idea. And maybe, if I'm lucky, the blog will begin to live a life on it's own. So it's really up to you, Tom. But what I'm 100% sure of is that I would like to get to know your music by the scores, and I 'm sure I'm not the only one. And actually I've got a Waldzither I can tune up as a 5-string mandolin as well.
Was not completely sure of the goal, but thanks for the invite. You do not have to be responsible; I would post a link to my location, and one could download a pdf and/or listen. Right now there are full-band recorded versions from a jazz viola venture, but I will be posting mandolin sound files after not too long.
"I would post a link to my location, and one could download a pdf and/or listen. " Yes, that's a good idea!
Don't have the pdf ready with extra notes, only the lead sheet at the moment, and not sure if this is of interest, but it's an original slow samba: http://www.twtunes.com/pages/TryAgain.mp3
Loved it! Cool music, excellent playing, fine sounding instrument. A real pleassure! Very different from my ultra-minimalistic style, of course, but it's the differenses that makes the world. You are welcome any time!
Thanks, Simen. I posted the notes and fingerings: http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/sh...064#post868064
