Monroe-style Jam - Colorado Springs

I'm looking for a few good men and women to get together once a month
to play the music of Bill Monroe.

Monroe, the father of bluegrass, performed a unique style of music, one
that has been overlooked by many of today's bluegrass fans. It is bluesy,
very rhythmic, and complex. It remains a music onto its own.

This Monroe-style jam will concentrate on learning to play his music.
We'll feature a new song each month. Initially we'll start easy with
Rocky Road Blues, Blue Yodel #4, and Kentucky Mandolin. Then
we'll move on to Evening Prayer Blues, Bluegrass Breakdown, Big
Sandy River, Virginia Darlin', Jerusalem Ridge, Wheel Hoss, Raw
    Hide, Moonlight Waltz, and more.

I'll provide tab and notation for the songs, as well as helpful videos
from Monroe himself, Mike Compton, David Grisman, Andy Leftwich,
Sam Bush, Andy Statman, and other Monroe aficionados.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you'd like to attend this jam! I'd like to
    see us begin in September.
