Debbie - Silver Angel #225

    Here is some information about my wonderful 4-year old Silver Angel. She's #225 and Ken named her Debbie.

    This is a GREAT mandolin. She continues to improve along with my playing, though she didn't need to improve nearly as much as I did!

    I like EXP74s on her, but she sounds good with 74s and 75s. Really nice chop, good balance across bass and treble. Couldn't ask for more.

    I sent some photos of what I like and don't like in a finish and and Ken nailed it.

    Made March – May, 2005
    Wood
    - Top: 20 yr old Italian Spruce
    - Back: 1/4 sawn maple from tree Ken cut & seasoned
    - Sides: same as back
    - Neck: from wood a violin maker gave him
    Fingerboard: 12” radius
    Frets: high crown med guitar fret wire #155 from Stewart-MacDonald
    Tuners: Grover Gold
    Tailpiece: Dominic Orrico cast bronze
    Tonegard
