There was me thinking that I'd joined a Mandolin forum.. glad to see tenor banjo's being appreciated on here as well. Here's a video of Bag of Spuds.. played nice and steady, no triplets etc... (they've yet to come to me yet for this tune....) Chris
Very nice Chris! Tell us about your TB~ How is it tuned?
I'm GDAE - i usually learn tunes on the mandolin, then transfer over to the TB
It's hard for me to tell, is it 17 or 19 frets? You should also submit that over on the Song A Week Social Group!
Here's the ABC.. but this doesn't seem to be the same way Chris is playing it. Chris, can you submit how you are playing it? X: 1 T: Bag Of Spuds, The M: 4/4 L: 1/8 R: reel K: Gmaj |:Bdd2 =ceed | BddB ABGA | Bdd2 =ceed | gabg abag:| |:gabg eaaf | gbag efede | gbag eaaf | gedb abag:|

Chris
Chris, Thanks for reminding me of that tune. I am going to use it for my next banjosessions article. Can I use your youtube video to illustrate the tune?
Hi Mike -Thanks - I'd be honoured if you do. Chris
Like you I thought I was joining a mandolin site ! Posted a couple of picks of me and my Oakwood tenor, made in England...both of us that is ! Bev
Ah, I played my tenor banjo teacher's Oakwood tenor a few times and it was the business! Love the look of the black head on yours, and your emandos are fab as well!
It's sort of heavy metal ! It's certainly heavy anyway .
My Banjosessions article on cgda tuning is up and Chris is the star (next to whatshisname.)
