Thomas Campion earned his money as a physician, but he composed some nice lute-songs in his spare time, such as Never weather-beaten Sail, first sung by a bariton, then by a soprano:
Beautifully arranged and played! I like this melody very much. Thank you.
This is beautiful, Christian. I love this tune and I like the very slow tempo you have taken. (I remember it from Frederick Noad's Renaissance guitar book.)
Beautiful! Good, clear tone in all registers.
Very enjoyable Christian. I like the tempo too, it’s as though there are a couple of other voices that could be improvised along with the lead singer. Inspiring performance!
Very baroque and majestic, and it's one of those tunes that seem to reflect their name in the metrics of the melody, like there should be lyrics to them. The classical guitar emphasizes the overall character very well, just like a lute would.
Just what Bertram said above, Christian. You play this so well. I can imagine it played in a church setting with your arrangement here.
Very pretty and peaceful Christian!
