Barbara: That's some list! Must take up most of the day to get through!

I usually toss the music/tab into a binder and work my way through it. I have to work on making a list.

Last night in my Fiddle for Mandolin book I discovered "Harvest Home". I think it would be a good SOW tune. You can find a TEF version of it on Mandozine. It's different than the one I've been working on but keeps in spirit with the theme.
    Here's some YouTubes of it.

Opps, just looked and see this was already a SOW tune! sorry!

Although not an Official SOW, Brian Boru's March was a popular 'other tune' from October 3, 2009. Don't know if that counts or not, just sayin'

I appreciate all your help in trying to manage this list! Please continue! The list has gotten so long (you can only have so many characters per post), that I've had to drop those that have already been either on a poll and dropped, or on a poll and won. There's been some discussion before, as to whether tunes that have had a run as 'other tunes' should appear on the poll to be considered as 'official tunes'. I think I decided to go ahead and let them, as, for some reason, 'official tunes' carry more weight with some of our members!

I've got a favor to ask. In the post above dated Oct, 19, 2010, that says it's the MOST CURRENT list that I am working from for the polls.... Could ya'll glance over it, and if you can categorize the tunes that don't have a genre listed, please let me know! Also, in the weekly polls, I try to include one BG, one OT, one IT (or related, like the Scots tunes listed as such), and then a couple of something else... anyway, of those with genre included, I've run out of BLUEGRASS tunes (or those listed as such!) So, I think we need some Bluegrass tunes added to this list! If you've got any suggestions, please list them here, and I'll include them in the above list!

    Barbara,
Here's some Bluegrass suggestions (I haven't checked to see if they've already been SAW tunes). Some of these came from the "Mandolin Picker's Fakebook". Each tune is catagorized as Bluegrass, and some have cross-over, ie Old Time/ Bluegrass.
Bill Cheatham, Cattle in the Cane, Crazy Creek, Cricket on the Hearth, Cripple Creek, Dailey's Reel, Done Gone, Durham's Bull, Durham's Reel, Dusty Miller II, East Tennessee Blues, Fire on the Mountain, Goodbye Liza Jane, Grey Eagle, Hamilton County, Jersulem Ridge, Johnny the Blacksmith I, Katy Hill, Leather Britches, Lee Highway Blues, Liberty, Lonesome Fiddle Blues, Lost Indian I, Monroe's Hornpipe, Old Dangerfield, Run, Johnny Run A, Sail Away Ladies, Snowflake Reel, Snowshoes A, Stoney Creek, Walking in My Sleep, White Horse Breakdown

    Hope this helps!
