Looking through Tosh Marshall's castle tunebook made me realise that in my part of the country there is only one castle namely Windsor. When I was a boy there was no security and entrance to the castle was free except for the state apartments. The high point of a visit( literally) was climbing up the round tower. Nowadays there is a hefty entrance fee to even go through the gates and the round tower is permanently closed due to structural problems. Anyway, the tune turns out to be quite fun and well worth learning.
Nice tune and I like that slightly staccato rhythm like a medieval tune. Well played. Ha, ha, thanks for the reminder. I remember being in London one time, going to Windsor Castle and not being able to afford that entrance fee! Huge lines of happy foreign tourists.
Nice picking. I imagine you playing these tunes in the entrance hall of the castle – you could at least save the entrance fee for yourself.
That sounds like a fun tune. Thanks for that.
Good to hear you again, Maudlin!
Interesting tune. I wonder what the link to Windsor Castle is. It looks like a tricky one for the left hand. Well done for getting through it!
