Great tune by Jean-Paul Loyer Mandolin - Weber Bridger Lead guitar - Martin D18 GE Rhythm Guitar - Gibson J45 Studio Pictures mostly from NASA's Picture a day site. The story from "The Portland Collection" book 2 is that Jean-Paul wrote this tune on a banjo, recorded it then listened to it the rest of the night. Just "one of those moments". It didn't indicate whether the title came from being up all night or that a banjo was somehow involved. :<)
Sounds fantastic, Robert! Great mandolin and guitar playing on a nice tune! It's certainly no torment to listen to your recording again and again...
Great playing indeed, Robert. Le Tourment could be a river in France. One of the feeding rivers of the Loir.
This is so very nice. I like the layering and synchronization of the instruments. Great photos too.
A fine tune and your arrangement and playing are excellent, Robert. The interplay of guitar and mandolin is very pleasing.
Thank you all! you certainly are an encouraging group. It makes it fun to post new tunes. The comment about the French river from Frithjof makes more sense than my possibilities.
