Hi all: I just discovered this group on the Mandolin Cafe. I'm the proud owner of an M-11vw and a new to me M-1. Both came through eBay, but the later from a pawn shop in Minneapolis, and it had a crack in the sound board. Now nicely repaired by Mike! I'll get some pictures of them up soon.
Welcome. There is a lot of great information here. Last year I picked up a M-4j directly from Mike. There’s something special about these mandolins. I can’t quite pinpoint exactly what it is, but it gets a majority of the play time. I’m wondering, do you notice a big difference in tone between your models? I almost went with the M-11.
