This is a traditional English folk song, known variously as "The Oak and The Ash" or "A North Country Maid". I first heard this from The Watersons. My recording is based on an arrangement for mandolin orchestra by Norma White, available from Musescore: https://musescore.com/user/19329/scores/180567 For my recording, I have reduced this to a quintet of mandolin, octave mandolin, two mandocello parts and tenor guitar.
