This week was a tie, so since it's been a few weeks since we've had a bluegrass tune, I chose New Camptown races as the winner this week, which was submitted as a bluegrass tune.

I found that this tune has been discussed (with videos) in the Song and Tune Projects forum here on Mandolin Cafe...

As with a lot of Bluegrass, I'm not coming up with notation, but maybe some of my fellow cafe members can help me there!

Since no one else gave this one a go, I thought I would get things started. Not up to your usual standards, but it's all I came up with.

Nice work Don, very steady version. I haven't found the time to make a recording but I'm still workin on it.
You alway play such nice mandolins, which one is this?

Thanks, Hendrick. I'm playing a 2010 Heiden that I really enjoy.

Looks like I need to work on flying fingers in a few places.
