This week's winner is Booth Shot Lincoln, which was submitted as an Old Time tune. I'm not familiar with it. It looks like there are at least two tunes with that name.

    This is what I've found:

On abcnotation.com for Booth Shot Lincoln (1)

This is also on abcnotation.com for Booth Shot Lincoln

    I found these videos:

There's some information about it at the Banjo Hangout site, where it was Tune of the Week some years back:

Here's a straight-up version, played on my Flatiron with a bit of backup:

    WOW! Great playing, Bob!
Another tune I learned from a Dan Levenson clawhammer book, and came up with a little mandolin part...

Thanks, crisscross. That's a pretty sweet version you play yourself. It goes very well with the visuals, too.

Well I used two mandolins and a guitar to make this version of Booth Shot Lincoln. The Gibson F2 was tuned GBGB: the same tuning some fiddlers use on this old tune. The Kentucky mandolin was in standard tuning. (There's no video of the Kentucky cause my camera battery died... but the middle break is played with this mandolin and the whole gang has a go on the last time through.)

Great job! I love this version. Such a great relaxed feel that moves along nicely.
