I was checking out a few places for a new/used Mandolins and stopped at a local Music store and mainly does lessons. I asked the owner if he had any Mandolins and he stated he had one that was missing a bridge. Out comes a A4 Hondo. A Hondo? It looked in great shape. It had a solid spruce top and he did order a bridge, but it was too tall. I looked at the sticker on the inside it is stated it was a Charleston SC Company! I live in the town just next to it, Summerville. He gave me a price and I could not get the money out of my wallet fast enough. I did some work on the bridge and strung it up. Wow... it sounds great and the sustain seems to go on forever.... A new Hondo owner is born!
