So....after admiring the pictures of various Bid Muddy/Mid Mo tailpiece upgrades I'm very much considering taking the plunge to an Allen or similar style ...

Question though regarding the end-pin removal on a Big Muddy M2 does this screw out? Pull out w/force? And most importantly then what is the best way once the new tailpiece is installed to reattach?

Anyone already done this? Easier than I'm imagining?

    Thank You!

the end pins are tapered and pushed in. The best way to remove them is with a pair of bent tip needle nosed pliars. I removed mine with regular pliars (and some effort) and left a few "tooth" marks. Twist and pull...

They are meant to have a friction fit. If you glue it in it will be very difficult to remove.

Put a few layers of masking tap around the pin, twist it with pliers and it will come right out. Push it in while twisting and it should stay in. Don't glue it. You will want to remove it someday.
