Stepping back a bit. Why FFcP?

It's been great to hear from all who have taken the time to digest this strategy of gripping the fingerboard (pun intended). I recently took the opportunity to step back to bring newbies on board a little more gently with this month's (June 09) entry in Mel Bay's bi-monthly online webzine "Mandolin Sessions" with an article appropriately entitled "Closed Fingerings." It may be too elementary for those of your who are well into dirtying your fingers with FFcP, still a good overview for those just getting started.

If you wouldn't mind, post a comment, and of course a 5-star rating makes me look good to my editor (and helps with job security...). This is done at the bottom of the article.

My list of Mandolin Sessions personal archives can be found here: Jazz Mandology. Free information for all!

Thank you all for the kind words!
