I just bought a Gallatin F Faded Leather. Its fantastic. I've only been playing a year and I couldn't be happier with the step up from my entry level mando. I play mostly bluegrass - but am interested in all genres. I bought the Gallatin from Kyle at the Mando Shop. He was very accommodating and did a great setup.
Congratulations on the new baby. I have a Weber Special Edition and man can that bay sing , LOUD heheehe. Many happy years of playin ahead. Cheers John
Congrats! I have a Weber Special Edition (in faded leather) and I love it. I think the Gallatin/SE is the best deal out there for a high-quality American made mandolin- it just keeps getting better every day. Have fun with it.
I also have an SE it is the best for your buck I like the plain dark brown , unbound flat finish they are a sleeper. The only thing I really don't like about it is that it ruins any visit at the music store to try out others, they are shameful they only help me to appreciate the sound of the SE keep on pickin
