    Hello All,

I am new to playing mandolin, but I'm having a great time trying!

I inherited my grandfather's Itilian made mandolin had it re-strung and have mastered a chord or two. However, since the date the mandolin was made on says "1898" I'm going to buy a new one to learn on

Looking at the Kentucky line...any thoughts for a newbie?

I too am new to Mandolin, I got mine from Kyle Dunn, Tallahassee's String Shop - and the whole experience was great. Check out: www.themandoshop.com to see what he has. I ended up with this: http://www.themandoshop.com/pages-jb...30015-599.html and I couldn't be happier. Good value for my money and a wonderful set-up.
