I joined this group although I don't live in Ireland, because I enjoy Irish music. I've noticed since that it's very quiet around here. Perhaps this group is in a funny position because the "Celtic, UK, etc." sub-forum exists on the main board and is well frequented. So where are the differences? What shall we do with this group that wouldn't be possible in the Celtic forum? Or maybe this group is less about discussion and more about proclaiming a shared interest?
Interesting timing of your post here, as I had just posted to the Mando Scotia group a dayor two ago with the same thought, that not much has happened on the group for quite some time. I think you may have identified the problem in that there are other outlets for us over on the forum or elsewhere in the social groups. Like yourself, I am not based in Ireland but in Scotland, but my interest is in the music. Let's see what comes of our postings!
