Figured I would start a list of sites with ukulele content for us to share. http://www.ezfolk.com/uke/
I have had a uke for a little over a year, but still a very beginner! If you search for Ukelele Mike on youtube, you will find he has several channels and tons of lessons for ukulele.
Hey Tony. There is a ton of ukulele content on youtube. Check out ackiem for claw hammer ukulele and bluegrass how to's.
I will check it out, thanks!
http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/fo...abs-and-Chords You can check out this thread also on the underground. We have a ton of information there
If not all ready identified, these two sites may be of interest. http://pdfminstrel.wordpress.com/ http://humbleuker.blogspot.com/
Humbleuker is a great site. I had heard of it but never been there.
http://forum.mumfordandsons.com/t/1542.aspx if anyone is into Mumford and Sons. These are for mandolin but work for ukulele.
i have been playing ukulele's since 1948, i now play ,(flat picking),bluegrass with my baritone uke's. also belong to northern nevada bluegrass asso. (on the web, nnba). i am accepted there and also play three jams a week in Yuma AZ, i play mostly western and classic old time kentucky songs. of the 8 uke's i have , one is an 8 string tenor and it sounds great! if you want to do bluegrass with a bariton, just get a bluegrass guitar book and tab the first 4 strings. i have never been refused to play with any group.
I do some bluegrass picking also. I just strung up my tenor with a low G string to give it a little bass and I am liking it so far. When I play I do a lot of thumb and strum on the chords so I get a nice bass drone now. Almost a kind of jug band sound.
