I'm heading down to the Netherlands and will be arriving Thursday afternoon. Have to leave early Saturday morning, but it would be fun to meet up with any of you who are there. I wander around a lot with a gray Pegasus case over my shoulder. Kevin, I suppose you'll be busy as usual.

    Hi Spencer,

I had fun as well! The Ewob was great. I promised Tom Rozum (Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands) I would say hi to Kevin for him, so I did.
And Kris, we didn't see each other, but at least I made a picture of your husband sitting in front of your tent :-). See you soon!

yep you did hans haha, that was a funny coincedence
I went to grevengrass in germany last weekend, you guys really should try to go there next year
it was absolutely fabulous, the atmosphere in the camp, and the premises ..just wonderfull, with a large field along the river, a real beachbar, beachvolleyball field, and a stage for performing bands,
sunday night was a concert at the aula of the local gymnasium which was wonderfull
a lot of great jamming going on at the camp, and fress bread and rolls every morning because a backery would come to the camp
there used to be a festival in neusüdende ( near oldenburg) that ended some time ago, and now this grevengrass will be the follow up on that old festival
we had a wonderfull time and hope many more europeans will find there way there like we did, so they can afford to keep this festival going for many many years to come

I will be there most of the time. Look for the Prucha F5T. It looks like an interesting lineup. I wonder how "Viagrass" sounds? From CZ so you know they can pick. Although they play the same songs every year, I still look forward to Sunnyside and Blackjack (also CZ). I hope last year's #1 band (Downtown Ramblers, SE) have learned that sometimes less is more... There will be a Krishot band, not sure if it's the mando maker or not. The fabulous Bluegrass Stuff (Italy) with the irrepressible Leo di Giaccamo m'cing and Massimo Gatti just ripping down the mandolin from the Old Country... this time they have a female singer from Switzerland. And there will be good mando-shopping with Prucha, Capek, Boetzkes, Waitze.

I'll be there all three days and I am really looking forward to it. Since there won't be any camping on the soccerfield this year I just reserved a campground nearby.

I haven't heard about camping on the sports field, there is nothing on the website about it, they talk about camping there. Are there other arrangements being made or what?

    Hello, Spencer,

This year, there will only be camping on the parking lot. You can find the tekst below on the homepage of the EWOB (http://www.ewob.eu)

CAMPERS PLEASE NOTE: Some set-up time limitations for the campground this year. Also, tents will only be allowed in the parking lot this year, so be prepared for camping on hard pavement. There is plenty of camping space, and a tool will be available to make it possible to drive tent pegs into the ground - so, free camping and lots of outdoor picking as usual.
