Mandolin Mondays #128 w/ Special Guest David Surette

New England-based mandolinist and guitarist David Surette brings the heat on this traditional Celtic jig played on his custom pumpkin top A model Girouard mandolin.



David is an incredibly versatile and tasteful performer, composer, and instructor. For many years, he's been at the forefront of Irish music on the mandolin. Now, David teaches at premier mandolin workshops across country including hosting and organizing the annual March Mandolin Festival in Concord, New Hampshire.     David, I love your playing and the sound of your Girouard A5! The tune is "Frieze Britches" or is that "Frieze Breeches?"

    I've seen it both ways Britches and Breeches. O'Neill's lists it as Breeches.

    The first part does sound a little like Banish Misfortune but it is 260 Frieze Breeches.
