Mandolin Mondays #54 w/ Special Guest Nate Lee

Rating: 4 votes, 5.00 average.
This week, here's a video of the impeccable mandolinist and fiddler, Nate Lee, playing his arrangement of the traditional tune "Rubber Dolly" on his gorgeous sounding, new Pava F5 mandolin.

Nate is a musician on demand in Nashville. Over the years he has toured with such artists as Ashleigh Caudill, Irene Kelley, Town Mountain, the Jim Hurst Trio, and now with the award-winning Becky Buller band. In addition to his monster mandolin chops, Nate is an amazing teacher and is one of the most helpful and kind persons that I know.

Here's Nate with a few words about the video: "Rubber Dolly is one of my favorite tunes to teach in private lessons and workshops. It can be really simple, or as complex as you want it to be. After teaching this tune to most of my students in the past few months, I decided to work up a solo arrangement for mandolin. Email me at Lessons@NateLeeLLC.com for a free transcription in TAB and notation, as well as audio recording of the performance for your slow-down software. This video was filmed on my iPhone 6s+ with a Zoom mic."

Thanks Northwest Steve! That Pava really fits my style, as does my Pava Player A model. It's wonderful that we live in time with so many great mandolins being built!
