Going into the Studio

Rate this Entry
Bandleader, Tim, of Seņor Circus has booked time at a recording studio way up north near Mount Shasta CA. Both Tim and the engineer want me to bring "everything." "Everything?" says I. "Everything" says Tim.

The engineer is apparently excited to see how I got such a convincing Santanaesque tone without a guitar. He also wants to see the mandocaster. Plus we'll be doing a couple of acoustic gigs in the area. So...

Two amps, two emandos, pedal board, the Vessel F5, a strat, and just in case the SCGC dread. I'm thinking about taking the altered Tele too, but space may be an issue.

To be honest, "everything" according to what I play and have played with Seņor Circus is somewhat less than all of the instruments and gear in my music room. So I have a chance of fitting "everything," me, our bass player and his rig, and our luggage in the Prius.

Will report more as events occur and time allows.

Daniel
