Mandolin Mondays #346 /// "Shady Grove"

Rating: 1 votes, 4.00 average.
This new Octolindo octave mandolin from KR Strings has helped bring some new life to a bunch of old tunes I play like this classic bluegrass number "Shady Grove." Hope you folks enjoy!

For folks interested, I'm playing with the tuning GDAD down tuned a half step and capoed up one fret--a trick I've picked up from some tenor banjo players who do this for a slightly smaller scale length and tonal nuance.

And for those out there interested in learning this solo arrangement, you can download a free copy of the PDF tab/notation transcription for free here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xnu...ew?usp=sharing

If you'd like to support the series and get access to much more mandolin content and learning material, check out my Patreon page here: https://www.patreon.com/davidbenedictmandolin

And as always, tune in next week for more Mandolin Mondays! Until then...

Happy Picking!
David
