Returning to Mandolin Mondays this week we have Mandolin YouTuber and educator extraordinaire Baron Collins-Hill of MandoLessons here with us to play this original tune "Cosimo's Flight" on his 10 string A. Lawrence Smart Mandocello.



If you've played mandolin for any stretch of time, then chances are you've seen Baron's wealth of free online mandolin educational resources through his successful YouTube channel and website MandoLessons.com. With millions of views and thousands of subscribers he's helped bring the mandolin to new audiences and players in a big way.

Here's a word from Baron about this video, "Here's a tune I wrote called 'Cosimo's Flight,' played on my 10 string Mandocello (CGDAE) built by A. Lawrence Smart in Idaho. I wrote 'Cosimo's Flight' after reading the Italo Calvino novel The Baron In The Trees, and It's ended up on a couple of my albums, including Hunt The Squirrel by Velocipede, my duo with fiddler Julia Plumb, as well as Fine Times, my duo album with mandolinist Noah Fishman.
