Mandolin Mondays #332 w/ Special Guest Magnus Zetterlund

Back on Mandolin Mondays this week, we have Swedish mandolinist Magnus Zetterlund with us playing a beautiful Swedish fiddle tune called "Halls Lilla Vals" written by Jon Erik Hall (1877-1948) from Bergsjö in Hälsingland.
Magnus is playing a sweet a electro-acoustic Phoenix Jazz mandolin.



Magnus Zetterlund (b.1980) is an award-winning mandolin player and instructor from Sweden. He is a prominent musician on the Scandinavian folk scene, collaborating with leading artists in Norway, Finland, and Sweden.

Magnus is a passionate mandolin instructor and the founder of Mandolin Secrets, an online platform that helps mandolinists take their playing to the next level. His YouTube channel has provided weekly inspiration and value since late 2017, and the tutorials have now more than 760,000 views.

Magnus has also recently started a podcast with guitarist and mandolinist Hayes Griffin called Mandolin Secrets Live--check it out here: https://www.mandolinsecrets.com/podcast

Here's a word from Magnus about this video, "The melody starts in D-major, and the second begins with a B-minor chord. I find it to be an excellent and elegant composition. The mandolin arrangement includes cross-picking and double stops suitable for the mandolin."
