This week on Mandolin Mondays we have the bluegrass social media sensation Phil Kramer with us to play this original tune "Braiding the Wind" on his Bobby Osborne Signature Model Mandolin.



Originally From Cheyenne, Wyoming, Phil Kramer is a Multi-instrumentalist living In Boulder City, Nevada. While studying classical violin and jazz bass at the University of Northern Colorado, Phil was a recurring face in the freelance music scene. Averaging about 160 Live Performances a year, Phil performed with bluegrass bands, Jazz Combos, Symphonies, and Chamber Ensembles. In addition, Phil was a regular in the musical theater scenes, playing in 30+ productions while being the contracted String Specialist for the UNC Musical Theater Department, and other such production houses in the Northern Colorado Area.

Since moving to Nevada, Phil has focused primarily on building an online community and lesson studio via TikTok, Instagram and Reddit. With a combined count of 40K+ followers, and 2.5 Million Accumulated Likes, Phil’s best known for his progressive acoustic arrangements of familiar tunes and his funny and relatable content geared toward the online bluegrass, old-time, and folk music communities. In 2022, Phil is looking forward to the continued growth of his lesson studio and plans to launch a suite of online courses for adult students as well as a debut record.
