Mandolin Mondays #299 w/ Special Guest Adam Miller

Rate this Entry
This week on Mandolin Mondays we have Adam Miller of the Lonesome River Band with us to take a spin on the classic fiddle tune "Cherokee Shuffle" with his trusty Northfield mandolin.

Adam Miller grew up in Erwin, Tennessee. Music has always been a big part of his life. He began singing in church with his family at a young age and soon became interested in playing guitar. He started taking guitar lessons at 7 years old and later learned to play mandolin. During his years at Unicoi County High School, he was a member of their bluegrass band where his love for performing music began.

While in college at East Tennessee State University, Adam has been a part of several school bands in the Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country Music program including the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band. This has provided many opportunities for him to grow as a musician. For the past three years, he has filled in with the Amanda Cook Band from time to time, giving him a taste of traveling with her group of fine musicians. Adam is currently pursuing a degree in Surveying and Land Mapping, as well as a minor in Bluegrass, while enjoying singing and playing mandolin with the Lonesome River Band, of whom he has been a fan for his entire life.
