Nashville-based mandolinist Lincoln Mick of The Arcadian Wild swings by Mandolin Mondays this week for a fun take on the theme for one the great modern sitcoms of all time. Bet you've never heard Parks and Rec played on a sweet 2003 Collings MF5 like this!
Lincoln is a founding member of the contemporary band The Arcadian Wild. The group has one foot planted firmly in choral and formal vocal music, and the other in progressive folk and bluegrass. Before Covid, The Arcadian Wild was touring off the successful release of their sophomore record, "Finch in the Pantry" (May 2019, Antifragile Music), which debuted at #9 on the Billboard bluegrass charts.
But the band is now making new music! Check out their beautiful music video for their fresh single called "Spring Wake." This is the first movement of a contemporary music suite that the band composed for the new acoustic ensemble: https://www.patreon.com/thearcadianwild
