Mandolin Mondays #219 w/ Special Guest Martin Howley

Rate this Entry
We Banjo 3 mandolinist Martin Howley just about plays the finish off of this Collings MF5 with some burning Irish triplets this week on Mandolin Mondays.

Originally from Ireland, Martin now resides in Nashville, TN. He's won 7 “All Ireland” contest titles and was the first Irish banjo player to play the hallowed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Over the years, he has performed with such artists as the Chieftains, Carlos Nunez, Mumford and Sons, Ricky Skaggs, and Steve Earle and more.

Since their formation in 2012, We Banjo 3 has emerged as fast-rising touring darlings. The Galway, Ireland/Nashville-based quartet––comprised of two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill and Martin & David Howley––seamlessly converges the shared and varied traditions of Americana, Bluegrass, and Celtic music with pop-sensible songcraft to create a truly unique and gratifying signature sound.
