Andy Hatfield is a creative musician and teacher from Peoria, IL. He is the winner of the 2013 National Mandolin Championship at Winfield, KS. Andy is also an accomplished guitar player, having won the National Flatpicking Championship in 2011 and 2017. Well-regarded as a teacher, Andy will be back at Kaufman Kamp in June of 2020. Mandolin fans may recognize Andy's YouTube name of "mandohat," and his video "10 Songs to play on mandolin that aren't bluegrass," now seen 1.2 million times.

Here’s a quote from Andy about the piece in this video, “The song is called "Two Weeks Notice," and is from "Bill Monroe in Paris," a suite of 20 songs that I composed document a mythical vacation that the Father of Bluegrass might (or might not) have taken in the 1950’s."
