Mandolin Mondays #164 w/ Special Guest Troy Boone

Rating: 1 votes, 5.00 average.
Sideline mandolinist Troy Boone joins us on Mandolin Mondays for a tasty version of "Old Dangerfield" played on his beautiful Prucha mandolin.

Erwin, TN, native and ETSU trained Troy Boone is a force to be reckoned with. In 2015 Troy recorded his premier record entitled First Impressions featuring some hot picking and fresh compositions. Check it out here: https://troyboone.bandcamp.com/releases

After starting the band Dreamcatcher and touring with them for two years, Troy started playing with the bluegrass power house band Sideline. Their most recent record is called Front and Center. Give it a listen here: https://www.amazon.com/Front-Center-.../dp/B079Q86P8P

This is probably the best rendition of Dangerfield I have ever heard.

Really comfortable sense of time and groove. Reminds me a lot of Dan Tyminski's drive.
