Mandolin Mondays #156 w/ Special Guest CJ Lewandowski

Rate this Entry
This week on Mandolin Mondays, CJ Lewandowski of The Po Ramblin Boys plays us an original tune on his trusty McClanahan F5 mandolin "Orch."

Just in the past few years, CJ and The Po Ramblin Boys have made big waves in the traditional bluegrass scene. After two full length studio albums, they've signed with Rounder Records and won the 2018 IBMA Emerging Artist Award.

CJ also has recently released a solo side project of original instrumental mandolin tunes in the traditional style of the first generational Missouri mandolin players. The album is called Ozark Mandolin and the tune in this video can be heard on it. Check it out here: http://www.soundbiscuitproductions.co...

Be sure to connect with CJ at the following links below for more information about his music and performance schedule:

And as always, tune in next week for more Mandolin Mondays! Until then...

Happy Picking!

Well done, Lately I've talked with CJ a bit about F-7's as ha has/had a few nice ones and honestly didn't know or never hear him play or his band and I must say I like it! I'm not a huge fan of newer bluegrass "mainly because too much out there with no time to listen!" but these guys get it done, they all have style and can play! Well done and that F-5 sounds pretty good to me!
