Mandolin Mondays #135 w/ Special Guest Eli Wildman

Rate this Entry
Eli Wildman from Floyd, VA, joins us on Mandolin Mondays for an old time tune played on his unique Stanley Lorton F5 mandolin.

Eli is an up and coming mandolin player to look out for. He's already making a name for himself playing with his family band The Wildmans, having shared the stage with such names as Sammy Shelor, Sierra Hull, Billy Strings, Darol Anger and Joe K. Walsh. This fall he'll be head up to Boston to start his degree at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Here's Eli's description of the tune and mando in this video, "This is an old time tune called The Route played on my Stanley Lorton mandolin that was handmade in my hometown, Floyd. Had so much fun making this thanks for having me on your series!!"

Wowzers. These Monday tunes are all great. But when a teenager lays down an old time tune with skill, it builds congeniality.
Great job and good luck, sir!
