Mandolin Mondays # 77 w/ Special Guest Sterling Abernathy

Rate this Entry
Grand Ole Opry mandolinist Sterling Abernathy is with us this week on his toneful Gilchrist F5 mando, playing a beautiful solo arrangement of the Debussy piano piece Dr. Gradus Ad Parnassum from the Children's Corner Suite.

Sterling Abernathy, originally from Broken Arrow, OK, now lives and performs professionally in Nashville, TN. He got an early start in music and by age 13 he was touring full time as part of the young group of players called the Rockin’ Acoustic Circus. Since then he's gone on to perform with other successful groups, including the Belfry Fellows, Mustered Courage, Uncle Grier, Molly Tuttle, and many more. Now, most weekends, you can hear Sterling play on the Grand Ole Opry with Banjo player and comedian, Mike Snyder.
