Weber Instruments 20th Anniversary!

We often wonder where many of the instruments we made over the years are right now. We see a picture of a custom instrument on our computer and think, I remember that one! For instance there were three red, white and blue mandolins (VERY distinctive) that were made, bought, shipped and never heard from again and we wonder (although while I was writing this Bruce heard from somebody on another issue and they have one of these- weird world). Bruce and Junior will hear a serial number and often remember many details of that particular instrument.
An unbelievably small percentage of Weber instruments appear in various classifieds, Ebay, etc. and we are gratified that people seem to be hanging on to their Webers. Building the past full lines of mandolins, mandolas, octave mandolins and mandocellos, plus unlimited customization, was a dream come true and we are flattered that so many builders today emulate Weber models and colors (starting with the Gallatin which some said would never be accepted...).
We met many fine people and made good friends over the years: dealers, employees and fellow luthiers, vendors and most of all, our Weber players. With a reboot we are excitedly anticipating Bruce Weber 6.0 (Flatiron, Gibson, Gibson/MT Division, Weber, TOH, Montana Lutherie) and continuing relationships and adventures.
Following is a timeline of the Weber models, which people often ask about- the image doesn't come through well, and I'm too lazy to do a separate table, but you can save the image to your files to enable detail. Here are a few pictures from the past too.
Finally, we would love to see pictures of you and your Weber(s)!! If you don’t want to post them please email them on to bruce@montanalutherie.com and we sincerely thank each one of you for being part of our lives.
