Putney Vt. — Music Camps North, celebrating their 20th year in business have announced Wednesday, October 30 as opening registration for their April 17-19, 2020 Mandolin Camp North.
Joining Camp faculty for the first time this year is Shin Akimoto, Tristan Scroggins, Grant Gordy and Eli Gilbert. Also new are guitar classes (bluegrass, swing, jazz) and a fiddle track for mandolin players with Erynn Marshall.
Located on 500 lovely wooded acres on the shore of Prindle Pond in Charlton, Prindle Pond Conference Center offers clean, comfortable accommodations and ample space for classes, jams, concerts, and vendors. The Center is fully handicapped accessible.
Skill Levels
Mandolin Camp North offers instruction across the entire spectrum of skills and experience campers bring to the table, from rank beginners to professionals. The camp makes every effort to make sure there is something going on for players of each level throughout the weekend.
During registration on Friday afternoon, you may attend a find-your-level session where instructors help campers decide what level classes to attend.
Mandolin Camp North and Banjo Camp North (May 15-17, 2020), both part of the Music Camps North organization feature workshops, jamming, and personal interaction with some of the top performers in the roots music world in a friendly, supportive environment. Camps are held in a beautiful rural setting in south central Massachusetts.
