    14th Annual Targhee Music Camp

Alta, Wy. — The 14th Annual Targhee Music Camp will be held August 5-8 at the Grand Targhee Ski Resort on the western slope of the Tetons.

The four day music camp takes place beneath the Grand Teton &mash; the highest mountain in the park — with workshops in guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, singing, resonator guitar and songwriting to a wide range of musicians and musical abilities.

This year's host band is the Grammy Award winning Mark O'Connor Band.

Targhee Music Camp director Thomas Sneed said, "We have cultivated an amazing group of music lovers and performers who are willing to go off the beaten path to get to Grand Targhee in Alta, Wyoming every August. By word of mouth, the music camp has become a pilgrimage and a yearly highlight for music lovers and performers. This year we're looking forward to the Grammy Award winning Mark O'Connor Band and Multi-instrumentalist Joe Craven."

Northern Rockies music promoter and partner Tom Garnsey says, "It's a phenomenal opportunity to study with some of the best. Over the years we've been lucky enough to have instructors like Darrell Scott, Rodney Crowell, Mary Gauthier, Tony Trischka and Stuart Duncan," to name a few."
