Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble - Sweet Harvest

Sebastopol, Calif. — The Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble has announced the release of their new recording, Sweet Harvest, a collection of mandolin music from classical and modern composers, and Latin and Jewish traditional music.

The Ensemble, based in Sonoma County, has been California's wine country mandolin orchestra for over ten years. Playing with spirit and a sense of fun, they search out moving and exciting music that is well suited to their blend of mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, guitar and bass.

Their worldwide repertoire includes music from the Classical Era to modern compositions for mandolins, traditional Jewish music, Brazilian choro, Mexican marches, and more.

In 2018 they served as co-hosts for the annual Classical Mandolin Society of America convention along with the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra and San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra.
