• Don Julin Launching Online Mandolin Education Resource

    Mandolins Heal The World

Traverse City, Mich. — "Mandolins Heal The World," a new internet based destination for mandolin instruction is being announced today with the official launch scheduled to coincide with a booth at the Raleigh, N.C. World of Bluegrass conference in late September. Don Julin, author of the wildly successful Mandolin For Dummies books is the site owner and creative force behind the new educational start-up.

The site is a combination of video-based instruction augmented with downloadable print-outs for subscribers.

For the past year, Julin has devoted his efforts full-time outside of his performance schedule building the comprehensive mandolin instructional site that will be subscription based and appeal to mandolin players of all abilities and interests. But it's more than just Julin alone who will be teaching. Although the Mandolin Cafe has seen list of additional contributing instructors, all familiar names in the acoustic music community, they are not being announced until a later date.

For now, prospective students and those interested in the new venture can sign up for updates on the newly launched web site.

I'm very much looking forward to this. At this point I've taken a number of lessons and workshops from Don and he's a great teacher -- and he has some of the best learning videos out there. Should be great!
