Nashville, Tenn. — Matt Flinner hosts a free online lesson as part of his ongoing mandolin instruction series this coming Saturday, December 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
For mandolin players that have been wanting to try out Matt's series this is an opportunity to experience his teaching style and curriculum in a live setting.
In the lesson Matt will teach an old-time fiddle tune as well as Auld Lang Syne and look at various ways of creating variations on both tunes, while at the same time exploring ways of helping improve your mandolin technique.
During the lesson, students will receive exercises in the following areas:
- Picking Exercises
- Fingering Exercises
- Double Stops
- Scales
- Arpeggios
- Chords
- A couple of licks
PDFs of materials covered will be provided and the lesson will be recorded and uploaded on YouTube so that students can revisit it at their own convenience.
