Straight Up Strings by Siminoff to Sell Banjo and Mandolin T-Shirts to Benefit Bluegrass Organizations

Atascadero, Calif. — Once again, Straight Up Strings is offering their signature banjo and mandolin t-shirts for pre-sale until December 4, 2017. Customers have their choice of shirt colors, which will ship on December 15, 2017 in time for holiday gift giving.

The front-end illustration and rear illustration of the instrument are printed on the front and back of the soft tri-blend shirts. Both short and long sleeve shirts are available options this year.

At checkout, customers have an opportunity for 50% of the profit from their shirt to go to IBMA's Bluegrass Trust Fund or California Bluegrass Association's Youth Fund. The short sleeve shirts are $20 plus shipping and the long sleeve shirts are $22 plus shipping.

This holiday donation pre-order goes along with the company's "give-back" program, in which 5% of a Straight Up Strings sale goes to the brand endorser's chosen non-profit when the endorser's name is mentioned at checkout.

Is anyone else having trouble placing an order through their site?

I have had a problem in the past. I think I ended up calling them and doing the order over the phone.

I am really kinda bewildered that the folks selling strings use a design featuring an unfinished mandolin with no strings. The guy in photo is smiling like "ha ha, get it?" and I am thinking, "well, no, not really".

That is weird... I can't unsee the lack of tuners now. Crap, I liked the shirt before that.

I think the drawing is from the one of the Siminoff plans to build a Mandolin. They also sell plans to build mandolins as well as strings.

I get these guys mixed up with Strings and Beyond, who I really like for their free shipping for an over $35.00 order.

That's kind of strange, since these guys make strings but do not sell them directly, while S&B sell strings directly but do not make them.

You are correct. It is another company altogether. Just Strings.
