Marshall, Mich. — Mike Marshall, Caterina Lichtenberg, Don Stiernberg, Tim O'Brien, and Sarah Jarosz headline a blockbuster weekend featuring personalized instruction and a series of concerts August 17-20.
Friday and Saturday evening include performances featuring Mike Marshall, Caterina Lichtenberg and Don Stiernberg. Recently double-Grammy winner Sarah Jarosz of Prairie Home Companion and legendary multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Brien will be their guests for one night each.
Concerts will take place in the newly renovated Franke Center for the Arts in Marshall, Michigan built in 1921. This historic theater only holds 200 people so it will be a rare up-close and intimate concert!
Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, March 21, with limited seating. Registration for the Summit is $1,299 which includes the meals listed in the schedule, entry into the classes and both concerts. Attendees are responsible for securing their own housing.
The event is being organized and sponsored by Northfield Mandolins, based in Marshall. A youth scholarship sponsored in part by the Mandolin Cafe is expected to be announced in the next week.
