St Louis Tionol
The weekend of April 21 I will be teaching a full day workshop in playing Irish traditional music on tenor banjo and mandolin at the St Louis (Missouri) Tionol. The workshop will focus on how to take the bar bones tunes written in tune books and play them in an Irish traditional style. It is designed for players who already play mandolin or tenor banjo (or octave mandolin or tenor guitar – anything GDAE) but not necessarily Irish music.
Besides my workshop there are amazing concerts and sessions and of course lots of other workshops like these:
• Accompaniment - Patrick Doocey
• Ballads - Eimear Arkins
• Banjo/mandolin - John Liestman
• Bodhrán - Jim Wenham & Jackie Moran
• Bouzouki - Roger Landes
• Concertina - Liam O'Brien
• Fiddle: adv. & int. - Rose Flanagan & Dylan Foley
• Flute - Sean Gavin
• Guitar: beg. - Keith Reins
• Harp - Eileen Gannon
• Master Class - John Skelton
• Pipes: beg., lower & upper int., adv. - Nollaig MacCarthaigh, Tom Creegan, Kieran O'Hare, Michael Stribling, and Pat Broaders
