Beautiful! I love hearing mandolin through the lens of different cultures and different eras. Indian raga, Brazilian choro, Italian tango, Kentucky Bluegrass, Bach partitas, French ballads, old time fiddle tunes, Dawg music... so much to enjoy!

Nice! Gee, I thought I was making some progress on triplets earlier today, but after hearing this it's back to the woodshed. Thanks for sharing that most excellent music.

Wonderful playing. I struggle to figure out where to put triplets when playing jigs, and now I know one solution: put them everywhere!

What a great piece and sparkling arrangement! So tight and clear as a bell (or two). Congratulations on the EP, and thank for the continuing Mandolin Mondays, David and Scott. Finn at the fin was just fine, too!

I interviewed David and Tabitha about their new EP on my radio show this past friday(5/21). We played cuts from the album and I followed the interview with cuts from David’s solo cds, Mile Twelve, and Tabitha’s bands, Midnight Skyracer and Cup O Joe. The show will be archived on the WTJU website until June 4th here:

I'm loving Jones' Goldberg Variations CD. I've got a gut feeling that Bach anticipated every musical movement to come. When I listen to CE Jones' stunning version of Variation 23, it sounds like Bach was envisioning a delay pedal. For lack of a better word, it sounds psychedelic, otherworldly.

Great playing and great sounding mandolin, of which I believe is a Gibson F9 instead of a Gibson F5G.

One of the unique abilities of Brazilian mandolinists seems to be that they can smile and play their instrument simultaneously! But, smiling or not, what a great musician! Thanks.
