Lovely sound from that mandolin. It's always interesting to see musicians from parts of the world we don't hear from enough.

Nice ideas - I think that "work in progress" has legs. Sounds very nice, and you're certainly getting some great tone from that Mowry.

CNC is older than 2010…maybe not for Andrew…
    Lovely song!

    Excellent.

It is often the case that, if you are geographically isolated, your style or playing takes a life of its own despite of the probably noticable influences.

Bostin, Emory! Still one of the best. Bravo, sir!

Sounds killer Emory-- nice work. A & E strings really sing on that Heiden!

(Or could that be technique? Nah, probably just equipment )

Emory is a fantastic player, I first heard him when he was on my late Great Uncle Dick Smith's first recording with Mike O' Reilly in 1998. Great Stuff!

Love Emory's playing. He was an inspiration to me early on, and still is.

Lovely tune on that Capek F5 mandolin.

Didn't recognize the instrument she was playing. It would be nice if the make & year were included in every M.M. description. I know they sometimes are but I'm always curious about the mandolin & I imagine others are too.

Wonderfully contemplative, with lots going on below the seeming calm. Great!

I have happy memories of meeting Abbey (and her mum) back in 2017 at the Crossover festival in the Uk. I also recall that we had a late night "jam" on the Friday eve. I was really impressed with her mandolin playing, and it is great to see her doing well. Lovely playing here too.

If you read this Abbey, bests to you (and your mum!), Paul

Absolutely worth slowing this down to 50% to study her fantastic technique. Look for the little "gear" at the bottom of the YouTube page and go to "playback settings". There you can choose normal, 3/4, 1/2 speed etc... Superb playing!

Charlotte certainly has mastery of the mandolin techniques. I enjoyed the 'setting aside' the pick for a quiet passage. She's a huge talent in the mandolin world. Thanks for sharing this video.
