Thank you so much, guys! I've been following both the Cafe and the Mandolin Mondays series for years and it's an absolute pleasure and an honor to be an active part of both! Thanks again for the opportunity, David!!

Any tune that combines mandolins and octopus attacks gets my vote. Fun stuff.

Great stuff, Isaac - Thile's influence is apparent, but you have your own style. That's a strong sounding Prucha, too! Thanks, Isaac and DB.

Isaac - that's great! Really enjoyed the piece and your playing. The Prucha sounds great, and it appears that you have recovered well from your ordeal. I can't help wondering about the octopus - not having a Prucha, he's probably still suffering from night terrors.

Nice energy and movement! Great sound. Makes me think of a Summit Artist that got way while I was thinking about it too long.

Yes, great tune. A haunting Appalachian mode to me. Can anyone tell me what a partial fret is?

This is by far the most interesting entry in this series so far. Yes, it takes a bit of an adjustment to start hearing it as not simply out of tune, but it's totally worth it on the other end! I love how what is a pretty straight forward fiddle tune can really expand your ears to the possibilities that exist beyond 12 tone equal temperament.

    Love this tune.

Anyone know of lessons for this particular tune?

Microtonal has to grow on you a bit, but it does! Great job Flynn!

Great to see you playing mandolin. Wonderful tune and performance. Too bad we don’t have banjo Tuesday and guitar Wednesday so folks could experience a little more

Nice tune! At first I couldn't understand why your K9 friend would leave such a prime spot before the end, but then I realized he was probably relocating so he had a better view of all that fancy finger work.

thanks for stopping in and playing for us Justin.
I enjoy watching/listening to you with everything you play. amazing all around multi instrument player that is spot on with clean colorful notes.

Nice tune! That mando does indeed have a nice sound, but then I've noticed that pretty much any instrument you play tends to do that. I have had the privilege of seeing you and Sierra perform at the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival, and seeing you two play mandolins together is a real treat. I'm looking forward to being able to do it again.
