Well done buddy, great tone you're getting!
Dig it
Bostin, as usual, Joe.
I really enjoyed that.
Been listening to the album all day! Beautiful to watch you play!
Great tune. JKW is one cool customer. Just downloaded If Not Now, Who and will listen on the drive home today. As always, thanks David. MM is a truly great service to the mandolin community.
Yikes! That's some fast pickin. Thanks for a very enjoyable performance.
I came to the forum this morning mainly to look at what people had to say about mandolin gig bags when I saw the link to Enda's video. He recently offered an equally excellent banjo version of Banish Misfortune over at the Facebook Banjoheads page. Thanks, Enda, for giving so much to enthusiasts of our favorite instruments, and to the appreciation of trad music in general.
Impressive! Beautifully played.
Wow! Wonderful playing, Enda! You bring a beautiful voice to that instrument! Wonderful triplet ornamentation!l Bravo!
What a wonderful interpretation of this impossibly difficult piece. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you, Caterina, for sharing and for all you do to promote the mandolin community! And, I don't say it often enough, thank you, David, for organizing and producing Mandolin Mondays every week and for all you do to promote the mandolin community!
Beautiful, shows what the mandolin can do in capable hands.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Bravo
Absolutely beautiful playing, an adaptation of a violin piece. Wonderful!
Played with style and character. Great control of the instrument surely 'rubs off' on her students. We are blessed with such fine teachers.
Jaw droppingly beautiful piece, performance and vista! Great way to start the morning.
Good tune Anthony Howell. I like it. Don't you have a new CD out?
Nice pickin’ Anthony! Is “ bluegmulti-instrumentalist” an intentional portmanteau?
Fine picking on a nicely written tune, and a great tribute to Mark. Thanks for sharing the tune and the story with us.
That’s a really beautiful tune and some great picking!
Great playing! Also subscribed to the channel.
Splendid indeed! Very uplifting! Thanks for sharing, Frédéric!
Very nice! Well played. Great tone.
Splendid way to start the morning!
Beautiful tune, haunting!
Hello everybody, thank's a lot for your comments. A this time there is no score, so I will try not to forget it...
I liked it a lot too! Starts out simple and gets more complex, it seemed to my ears. And I too would like to see the score.
A beautiful composition and playing to match!! Thank you, Pascal, for sharing!
Beautiful, intriguing. Is the music available?
That's a perfect tune for the foggy Monday morning where I'm at! Interesting idea to substitute maple wood for the typical ebony bridge base on your Big Mon--I'm sure that adds to the overall tone you achieve!
Lovely tune. Thanks
wow, awesome.
That was simply amazing!
The shredding is inspiring, but I'm curious why people are still playing Dixie-themed songs in the 2020s. perhaps the way Jake is transforming the tune...changing it from a peppy marching-band anthem to a much more complex and dissonant thing.... speaks to the myth vs reality of Dixie. An updated approach to an outdated tune
Yeah, great playing and what seems like an endless stream of ideas. His right hand always amazes me.
Oh Yeah! Right and left are both working it out there. I had that bluegrass album on continuous repeat all the way from Florida back to Chicago - amazing stuff. Really enjoying the jazz offerings as well. Keep up the great work!
That's wizardry. And what an incredible right hand.
Actually 4:26 is a G over F. But that one at 4:35... EbMaj#11 heading to another G7???? Oh that darn J.S.
Donny, I always call YOU when I've got questions about those altered dominants! DANG@! We'll discuss in Benicia ok? MM
just great to hear and to watch you play that iconic instrument!
Hoo boy, my hand hurt just watching this! Stunning display of talent and technique.
Thanks for this, Mike! Those are some big stretches played with perfect timing and precision.
Beautiful piece, beautifully played!! Wow! That cello has such a beautiful voice! Thank you for sharing!
what's that jazz chord at 4:26? m9 or...?
Wow.
That was really wonderful and expressive. Does anyone outside a basketball court have hands as big as Mike Marshall's?
Beautiful, Mike! Thanks for keeping Bach in our ears, and for the decades of your leading the way for so many of us!
Incredible! And what exquisite music to wake up to on a cold Monday. Big thanks to Mike and Dave and Scott.
