For such a simple song, it seems a bit challenging in terms of what chords and changes to use.

Do you ignore the IV or leave it in there? A whole measure on the V, or just a quick-turnaround half measure?

Me personally, I like it very simple. No IV, and just a quick half-measure on the V, but look in any tune book and you often get different opinions. That IV in particular just seems clunky.

Oh, and we want even talk about the efforts by the (admittedly legendary) Seldom Scene to turn this into a slow-as-molasses-on-a-winter-day ballad :(

I pattern my thing after a live BG Cards version, in G chord. Very rockin, if the IV is there, it's hardly implied.
